It can be a challenge to find the resources you need to help guide changes to your property while still maintaining the historic character of Old East Hill.
One of the most helpful documents will be the City of Pensacola Preservation District Guidelines & Regulations (cached). This will provide insight into best practices and, in some cases, what not to do.
Once you have an idea that is ready to be implemented, it will first need to be reviewed by the Architectural Review Board. This group meets monthly (though it may be possible to get an abbreviated review a bit faster).
Once the ARB approves your project, then it’s just a matter of getting your permits and building!
